THATCH FIRE PREVENTION SEMINAR
Sponsored by Thatchline Insurance
Since 2008 there have been at least 450 serious fires in properties with a thatched roof, that were chimney related and attributed to the use of a wood burning appliance. This is equivalent to the devastation of one family per week losing their home, and the irretrievable destruction of heritage. This event aims to look at past thatch fires and find ways of professionals working together to reduce the losses.
